HOW DO I PICK UP MY TICKET?
If you purchased a ticket online at https://tickets.miramarculturalcenter.org/TheatreManager/1/login&event=1186 Please bring a photo ID and the card used for payment for entry into the theater. If you purchased a physical ticket, bring it to Miramar Cultural Center the day of the show. Only Miramar Cultural Center ticket will be allowed to enter to the show.

WHEN WILL THE SHOW START?
Doors to the event will open at 5 p.m. and the show will begin at 7 p.m. EST! Be sure to arrive early to allow time for parking, etc. The red carpet starts at 5pm

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Although there’s no official dress code, we encourage everyone to dress for an award show. Dress to attire Formal Dress only. No sneakers, Hot and Jeans. Best Dress of the night will win a $500 cash prizes .See our favorite best dressed fans from last year!

WHERE CAN WE GRAB FOOD BEFORE THE SHOW?
There are many concession stands and food options inside and outside all of Miramar Cultural Center. Outside of the venue, there are lots of restaurants and bars, which is across the street from the venue.

CAMERA POLICY
Video cameras, tripods, audio recording devices and cameras with telephoto or zoom lenses are not permitted. The policy allows still cameras with a lens no greater than 100mm without flash. At no time may photography interfere with other guests’ enjoyment.

VENUE CODE OF CONDUCT
Our goal is to create a high-energy, enthusiastic environment, to create a memorable, special event. Guests are expected to act responsibly and be considerate of others. Guests engaging in improper conduct (including but not limited to profane or abusive language, intoxication and fighting/ throwing objects) may be ejected without refund and are subject to arrest.

Why should I nominate my product/music/arts for an PHMA Award?
The PHMA Award brings a unique distinction to your product/music/arts by recognizing all the professional Musicians, Singers, Promoters, Sound Engineering, Designers, strategy and marketing that has gone into making your product/music/arts a success. The PHMA Award also recognizes the persistence and excellence that characterized your work. The prestige of winning the PHMA Award can be a catalyst to propel your product/music/arts to even greater notoriety and bottom-line success. Read more about the value of an PHMA Award.

Who may make an PHMA Award nomination?
Any musician, singer, poet, sound engineer, designers involved in the HMI may make a nomination for any category of the PHMA Award. Marketing professionals and agencies may make nominations on behalf of their innovative clients.
What are the criteria for evaluating an PHMA Award nomination?
The nominations for The PHMA Award will be judged for their excellence in concept, value, delivery and impact. Read more about the criteria.

What do I have to do to make a nomination?
Once nominations are opened (April 2017), complete the online nomination form and submit it, along with the appropriate entry fee, before the deadline. Review all the Nomination Guide and fill out the form linked from the Nominations page.

Are there any fees involved?
No, However, in the future there will be a one-time entry fee, which will be used to defray the expenses of the judging and administrative processes involved in awarding the PHMA Awards. A portion of your nomination fee will be donated to the Prestigious Music Awards, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to fostering future musicians in the K-12 and community college levels (USA and Haiti)

What is the judging process, and who is involved?
The PHMA Awards Steering Committee and a cadre of the Haitian Music Industry experts will review all nominations and develop a list of Finalists within each of the PHMA Award categories. This list of Finalists will then be submitted to a panel of more than 50 judges, comprised of senior musicians and academics who will cast their ballots for the Gold, Silver and Bronze winners.

When are, the winners announced?
The winners of the PHMA Awards are kept strictly confidential until they are announced at the PHMA Award Gala in January. All nominees, finalists and other interested parties are invited to attend the two-day networking event, which includes the Diner and the Awards Ceremony. Showcase exhibits as well as the black-tie Gala evening.

What happens if our nomination is a winner?
If you win an PHMA Award you have the freedom to publicize the great honor. We will provide a template press release or you can write your own. Winners may leverage the PHMA Award winning seal and participate in our customized marketing plan that includes product sampling, social media, product reviews, morning show pitches and national media outreach.

Can we order additional awards for our winning team?
Winners may order additional awards from our partner, U.S. Patent Services, by visiting our Ordering page and following the link to their website.

If we win an award, how can we use it to the best advantage of our music?
The PHMA Award winning seal is proven to increase awareness and sales. We encourage companies to license the seal and promote winning one of the world’s most prestigious innovation awards. Read more about licensing here.
